STARSKATERS PASS SKATE CANADA TESTS AT SPRING SCHOOL TEST DAYS

Congratulations to the following Starskaters who have recently passed Skate Canada Tests at Spring School Test Days
Yarmouth Spring School Testing was conducted on the last week of Spring School May 11-14th.
Congratulations to the following skaters:
Lauren Lyons- Dutch Waltz
Jessica Zhu- Dutch Waltz
MacKenzie Cook- Canasta Tango
Esther Banjo- Baby Blues
Hannah Babin-Steine- Baby Blues
Austin Thibeau- Fiesta Tango
Allison Theriault- Preliminary Skating Skills
Austin Thibeau- Preliminary Freeskate Part 2:Program
Hilary Stone- Preliminary Freeskate Part 2:Program
Skate Canada crests will be awarded to Esther Banjo and Hannah Babin-Stiene in Preliminary Dance, to Allison Theriault for Preliminary Skills and Austin Theriault and Hilary Stone for Preliminary Freeskate
On May 24th 3 Skaters from YSC Spring School traveled to Halifax’s Centennial Arena for the Central Test Day
These skaters require a male partner to take their dance tests. It was not possible to have someone come to Liverpool to partner the dance tests so these skaters were invited to attend the Central Test day where there was a partner available.
Kiara O’Donnell passed the 14 step
Taylor Nicoll passed the 14 step and tenfox
Kylie Landry passed the Harris Tango and the Kilian.
Kylie will be awarded her Skate Canada crest in Junior Silver Dance
On June 7th Queen's County Blades held their Test Day to end their Spring School
Gracie Nickerson passed the Swing
Kaylee Atkinson passed the Fiesta Tango
Shayleigh Doucet passed her Senior Bronze Freeskate Elements Part 1
Kylie Landry passed her Gold Skating Skills
Kylie will be awarded her Skate Canada crest in Gold Skills. This is the first time a YSC skaters has passed the Gold Skills test in 10 years.

KYLIE LANDRY WINS PROVINCIAL PROGRAM ASSISTANT AWARD

Congratulations to Kylie Landry on winning the 2015 Skate Canada Nova Scotia Section Program Assistant of the Year Award. Kylie has been a Program Assistant with the Canskate Program since she was 9 years old. She has volunteered over 400 hours to the Canskate Program!!
